» dve ženski sva…najbrž ga bova precej hitro spravile v avto in odpeljale do skladišča, kajne ?

THE END.

this post is for holly and is around 480words long and it's for their mission. also, jacob is very excited about the pie. just saying.
as far as Jacob was concerned, it was just another great day at the office. in fact he and holly were just getting ready to go for an almost routine check-up at the local bakery, after some shady business went down there last month. after their last arrest their profile went up as far as recognition was concerned, which was why they were trusted with more serious jobs, and not just traffic tickets and petty offences. but today shouldn’t be too much interesting, Jacob doubted that the kind baker that owned carlo’s bakery was a crook, and it was probably just something they had to do, to tie up any loose ends. their boss did however warn them to change into their civilian clothes, so Jacob was leaning on a desk in his usual attire – jeans, shirt and a green army jacket, munching on some pretzels waiting for holly. for some reason that was their usual dynamic, and it seemed to work, thankfully. “this is starting to get old pretty fast partner. why does it always take you so long to get ready?” he asked playfully when she finally emerged from the lockers and offered her the bag. “you want some pretzels? please say yes, otherwise I’m going to get really fat eating them all by myself.” truth was, Jacob would probably weight around 200 lbs by know, had it not been for all the exercise he was putting in, both on and off the job. together they walked towards his car, and Jacob slid in the driver’s seat. “I love these undercover stints. also we get to go to the bakery, I mean there’s no downside to this job.” he murmured blissfully happy as he steered the car downtown. “so the way I see it, we roll in and ask some basic questions, that we’re locals, we’ve been coming there for ages now and we heard about some cop being busted with drugs, yadda yadda yadda. I don’t think this will really lead to something, but I’ve been known to be wrong before, right?” he was of course referring to the fact he was dead positive the guy they were looking for at the sleazy motel wasn’t their perp, when in the end he turned out to be exactly that. “I think I’m going to get myself a nice apple pie. ugh, I’m becoming such a stereotype aren’t I? whatever, if they’re making me work Saturdays, I can at least enjoy myself with a nice delicious treat.” he mumbled more to himself then to her as he parked the car and locked the doors when they got out. “right, ready to do this?” he asked pointing towards the entrance across the street, already shoving his hands in his pockets, waiting for her to join him on the side of the car before crossing.

She's had a whole lot of paper work left to do, but since Jacob was already nagging her to go, she just had to leave it for later. Since their last and pretty intense job they’ve done together, everyone started taking her more seriously. Before she was just another girl at work and they only used her for buying donuts and drinks whenever they went out, but Jake was different, they became quite good friends and she loved working with him. He wasn’t all petty with her or super protective whenever she was holding a gun, making her feel like a complete loser, he accepted her as his partner and they were equal. “Oh, shut it, Jacob, or do you really want me to look like a homeless person,” she quickly brushed her hair with her fingers and threw some foundation on. After a couple nights of barely getting any sleep she started to look and feel like a zombie. “You know I like donuts better, chocolate ones are my favourite. So you’ll just have to finish them on your own, or we could feed the duckies at the pond,” she got overexcited about where they were headed. She knew the place well, after all she lived just across the road, and there was this cute little pond there with a huge family of ducks and swans. It’s not that she was an animal lover, but that’s what she did with her free time, she’d sit by the pond, maybe read a good book and catch some sun – that was her life, not too exciting after she’s moved across the big lake.
“Okay, I suppose. But are you sure they won’t recognize us. Or at least you, because you always buy your apple crumble – or whatever that is – there. But then again, it doesn’t really matter, I’m sure they’ve seen me before too,” she started, but didn’t think much of it, it seemed pretty silly to even think that man could possibly have something to do with drugs. “I guess I could start, as a panicky little girl, but don’t get all focused on your pie too soon, remember what’s happened at the motel.” she grinned at him as she sat in the car and fixed her shirt to at least look decent. She was lucky Jacob was always there for her, whenever she needed someone to cheer her up, he was ready to start with his silly little jokes, and although she wasn’t religious or anything, she was sure blessed with a great partner. “Yep, let’s go,” she mumbled and checked if her gun is safely hidden behind her back and then followed him across the road all the way to the little bakery, that looked like anything but a place of a drug dealer.

Strangely enough, he wasn't nervous. In fact, Jacob could go as far as to say he was strangely relaxed. This was, after all just a bakery, and they were just going to shake the owner up a bit. “Show time.” He murmured to Holly, like he was used to just before they did something. He wasn’t an overly superstitious man, but somehow it just seemed to work. And they had luck so far, and he wasn’t going to blew it. Holly was right, things did have the potential to go wrong – Jake did eat here from time to time, and she did live in the neighbourhood. But even then, he wasn’t nervous. I mean, he was just a baker for Christ sake. Jake doubted they were going to find a meth lab in the back room. The door jingled as they made their entrance, and Jacob took in his surroundings. The bakery wasn’t empty, but it wasn’t full either. A family of four sat by the window, and two elderly ladies chatted with their coffees and cakes. Behind the counter stood an elderly man, with crossed arms, that Jacob vaguely remembered as being the owner. Carlo, apparently. “What do you want sweetie?” He asked sweetly, draping his arm around her slim shoulders as they made their way towards the displays. It would be a damn shame if he did turn out to be a crook, everything looked seriously delicious. “An apple pie for me please. To go.” He murmured as that gave them an excuse to stay by the counter just a while longer. “Are you the owner?” Jacob asked the guy as he set to do his business, and he gave them a vague nod. [i] “Yeah, this is my bakery.”[/b] Jacob nodded enthusiastically. “Told you, see, I was telling my girl this was the bakery where that shit went down last month.” Carlo’s face darkened and he murmured something under his breath and Jake gave Holly a sideways glance. She was right, he looked shifty and he probably recognized them from the get-go. Carlo cleared his throat and spread his hands. “Look, I don’t know anything about anyone. I’m just a baker.” But his eyes told the truth, and he was lying through his teeth. “That’s fine Carlo, we just wanted to ask you some questions, you’re not in any-” Jacob stopped mid sentence as Carlo threw the package at them and fled through the back door. He swore under his breath as they jumped after him. “God damnit. Couldn’t these things go smoothly just once?!” Jacob bellowed as he pushed the doors open and ran after him. He didn’t turn around to make sure Holly was following him because he knew she was. As they made their way outside they could clearly see Carlo ahead of them, he had a good head start – there was a counter separating them when he fled. “I guess it’s time to burn off those pretzels.” Jacob murmured sarcastically as they made their way after him, jumping over a crate he turned over. “Son of a bitch, he’s…” He remarked as another crate nearly fell on them and stopped for a second. “Let’s try cutting him off okay? You go that way, and I’ll go this way.” He pulled out his gun and cocked it. “Police! STOP!” He tried shouting after him and shook his head. “They always think they can get away, idiots.” Jacob was sure he and Holly ate a few cakes less then Carlo, and as they sprinted after him, he was pretty convinced in their chances of catching him. tag, the awesome jacob
She followed him into the bakery where she always bought her fresh bread and recognized the face of the baker. She never looked at him that way, but he did look quite sketchy, so she automatically touched her revolver and then pretended to check onto their pies. God was she bad at playing a nervous girlfriend with a sweet tooth that craved for a pie, but thank god Jake did his thing perfectly. “Oh, I’m not sure, everything here looks so delicious,” she touched the glass with her index finger and then finally decided on a cranberry muffin that she always gets here. Jacob still had his arm around her and if anything went down, she at least felt safe in his arms. He must have been her best friend, her partner, her everything pretty much. He knew her story and he knew her so he probably felt she was a little nervous and a gentle pat on her shoulder felt so reassuring. “I think I’ll have a muffin. Cranberry muffin,” she mumbled out and met with Carlo’s eyes. He recognized her. Of course he did, he wasn’t stupid. She always shopped here and apparently so did Jacob. “Yeah, it really makes you wonder about the neighbourhood you live in,” she added with a nod and looked up towards her partner that seemed so chill and convinced all that had happened here was just a misunderstanding.
“Yeah, Jake, he’s just a baker,” she nervously stammered out as the package with her muffin and her partner’s pie flew dangerously close to her head and she moved away just in time to see their lovely baker run away. “I told you, partner, you’re too naive. This is the second time we’re chasing after a criminal now,” she took time to smile at him, because after all they had no other choice but to outrun the bastard and bring him to the station. She pulled out her gun and wrapped her hand carefully around it, keeping her finger away from the trigger. She wanted the baker, but she wanted him alive, so there was no way she’s really gonna use it, except if one of them is in danger. “I swear this is the last time I’m letting you plan anything. No more pies and pretending to be a couple, next time we’re just simply arresting whoever looks sketchy,” she remarked as she followed him closely. It’s not that she didn’t trust him, of course she did. She would have probably done the same thing, but she loved being the one in the right, so making fun of him was the first thing that came to mind. “STOP! And put your hands up,” she added, but the baker refused to do any of that. He kept on going and before she even realized the first bullet was sent their way. “Oh fucking hell.” They really were lucky.

this post is for holly and is around 668words long and it's for their mission. also, he's dead. so sad.
this was slowly getting ridiculous. actually it was getting there pretty fast. jacob was actually starting to miss the easy days, when all they did was write parking tickets and fined people for jay walking. okay so maybe that was a lie – all the action got his blood pumping, that he had to admit, but still. it would just be so much easier if things sometimes went according to plan. “okay smartass, we’ll do it your way next time.” they weren’t really fighting, more like bickering maybe. he liked it, the dynamic their partnership had, it was fun. he groaned when he realized he was going to make them chase him, but sprinted after him none the less. he raised his weapon, identically to holly and followed him and cursed under his breath when he heard the gunshot. “shit.” this wasn’t good. they weren’t exactly prepared for that, were they? they thought it was just a routine check up, and instead they were in a back alley, being shot at. maybe that should be a life lesson to Jacob who never really took anything serious, but hell. he’ll probably be here next week, doing the exact same thing. “get down!” he shouted to holly and pushed her behind him. it seemed like carlo needed to stop for a while, and he was catching his breath behind the large dumpsters. when did they get themselves into a mexican standoff? jesus. jacob muttered something under his breath, and turned towards holly. “okay, here’s what we’re going to do. you’ll cover me okay? i’ll go and try to surprise him from the back, I know this area.” before she could protest he flashed her a wide grin and jokingly punched her in the shoulder. “catch you later, partner.”
jacob jogged off and cut his away in the back alley, slowing down once he saw the familiar figure crouching behind the dumpster. there he was, the old bastard. he swallowed hard, despite all his bravado, this kinds of situations scared the living shit out of him. before Jacob could do anything, carlo once again started to jog, and jacob went after him. “carlo, stop! put your hands up, you’ll never get away with this!” he fired a warning shot after him, and ducked when he shot back, then cursed and straightened himself back again. the guy wasn’t exactly a good shot, he thought to himself but in that split second another shot rang, from a very different angle. oh great, jacob thought, i guess his friends decided to come out and play as well. he spun around to see where it was coming from but not fast enough. a bullet hit him, directly to the stomach, making him gasp out in pain. fuck, it hurt. he tried aiming a shot towards carlo and saw holly sprint after him and waived her off when she stopped by his side. “go, go, it’s just a flesh wound. go get him.” god damnit it hurt. he dropped to his knees and pressed a hand to his abdomen, looking down. his whole hand was covered in blood. well, that wasn’t good. suddenly, he just felt so tired, so so tired. so he lay down, resting his head on the ground, letting his gun fall. he tried to get to his radio, to call for help, or maybe back up. but holly will do that. did he hear her in the background? he saw a shadow over him, and tried to force his eyes open. “holly?” he murmured weakly, but it was the best he could do. all he wanted to do, was to sleep. he tried to desperately to keep himself from sleeping, to keep himself away, but in the end the darkness was just too strong, and he was just too weak. and so with a final sigh he closed his eyes, and let go of his shield that fell on the ground with one final thump.

tag, the awesome jacob evo, ful na hitr sm spackala skup.
She was still following Jacob, admiring his calmness as he spoke to Carlo, and without even noticing, he calmed her down too. She knew they were going to get him, cuff him and bring him back to the station.. They always did. They always managed to do everything perfectly, except this time she wasn’t so aware of everything else that was going on around them. Carlo wasn’t alone, but she was, as soon as that fucking bullet hit her partner and caused him to fall onto his knees, crying in pain. She was next to him in a couple of seconds, but he wasn’t her only concern now. She was on her own now, in the fucking bakery with two sick dudes that apparently didn’t care much about authorities. “Fucking Christ, what should I do, what should I do?” she asked knowing what his answer will be. Jacob was holding onto his deep wound and she knew it wasn’t just a flesh wound as he remarked, she knew that if he didn’t get immediate help, it would be too late. It would be too late to do anything. But she had to get them, she had to get at least one of them, at least the bastard who did that to her ... to her friend. She sat next to him for a split second, hidden behind some palettes, holding onto his bloody hand, sobbing a little, but instead of saying goodbyes, she grasped tightly onto as little hope they still had. “You’ll be okay, everything will be okay. Try calling for help, or ... no, don’t, just wait for me, I’ll get him. I’ll freaking cut him for doing that to you,” she mumbled out in tears and wiped her hands before gripping firmly onto her revolver. God, she had to be so careful. With Jacob already down, it was just her now, just her to deal with the two druggies that apparently cared only about their own shit.
“You there, yes, you, put that gun down if you want to stay alive,” she shouted out pointing her revolver straight to his heart. She was angry enough to freaking kill him. She was pissed enough to shred his body, to fucking cut his head off is she had to. “Come on, do yourself a favour,” she kept on going just to get herself some extra time. But she didn’t have it, she couldn’t ... she had to take care of Jake, she had to call for help, she had so much to do. So she triggered the gun and shot him in the right thigh He fell down, lost grip of his gun and in the next second she stood next to him, pulling his arms together and cuffing him onto the water pipe. She wanted to kick him, just beat him to death, but instead she ran back to her partner, that still groaned in pain ... just where she left him. “God, you’re so pale. Jake, stay with me, please. I’ll call for help,” she yelled grabbing the radio, but she realized it was too late. “I failed you. I ... I couldn’t get Carlo,” she sobbed as she pulled him into her embrace. “I got the other one, the one who ... the one who did that to you. Please, Jake, don’t leave me,” she whispered into his ear, but before she could possibly tell him she loved him he was gone. Gone for good. “Oh, fuck, oh fuck,” she cried hugging his unresponsive body, knowing he felt no pain anymore. But she did, she felt her heart shatter to pieces when she finally realized what’s happened. She failed as a cop. She failed him. She failed to protect him.
